About Me

This is a more informal section so it has a much more casual tone than the rest of the website.

I consider myself to be a very creative person and while game dev does allow me to create whatever I can think of I do also like to work with my hands so I'm frequently picking up new hobbies to do in my spare time. At the moment I crochet and whittle.

Everything here will have a handful of imperfections but this is a little showcase of some of the stuff that I am proud of. :D

Why / How?

This is a necklace I made during my down time over christmas, I found the wood near my parents house. I think its beech wood?

This was carved mainly just using a knife but I did use a dremel for some sanding and drilling the hole for the thread. Overall I did it in about 2 weeks and its made me want to try making another necklace in the future.

Why? / How?

This is a flower that I crocheted using acrylic wool with a wire in the leaves and stem for stability, I made it for my Aunt for her birthday and for letting me stay at her place.

This took me about 3 weeks to make.

Why? / How?

I found a small piece of birch wood that was in good shape while on a walk so took it home with me and thought it was the perfect size to make a spoon with, so thats what I made. I added some curves to the design to make it nicer to hold and to give it more character, it was oiled with mineral oil and wood butter which are both food safe.

Unfortunately, I sanded too much on part of the handle exposing the heartwood (the dark brown/black area) which I regret doing as I think it ruins the appearance. Thankfully it does no have any negative effects apart from being a little ugly :(. It's still perfectly useable and I use it for eating ice cream. :D

I made this during my final year at University so it was a struggle to find the free time to work on it, as a result it took me about 5 months (roughly) to finish it.
